Leave a lasting legacy to Seven Sisters by giving a gift in your Will
We know how important Seven Sisters Country Park is to our visitors. If you have taken enjoyment, peace, tranquillity and wonderful family memories from your visit to Seven Sisters Country Park, then do consider leaving a small legacy in your Will.
We want to be able to protect the landscape and its glorious habitats for future generations to enjoy. Leaving a gift in your Will to the South Downs Trust will help us to do just that.
If you think that leaving a gift in a Will is only for those who are wealthy, then think again!
Many people leave gifts to charities that are important to them or to those who have helped them throughout their lives. Once you have taken care of your family and friends, consider leaving a small percentage of your estate to the South Downs Trust. Your help, however big or small, can make a huge difference.
East Sussex Wills is offering 30% off the cost of Wills for those leaving a charitable gift to South Downs Trust.
What a gift in your Will could achieve:
- Conserve the landscape and its heritage.
- Engage more young people in outdoor learning opportunities.
- Improve and increase walking and cycling routes.
- Protect our plants and species
- Support our local communities
Seven Sisters Country Park is a unique landscape with multiple important habitats, including the iconic chalk cliffs and chalk grassland and the river valley leading to the sea at Cuckmere Haven. There is also a salt marsh, lagoons, vegetated shingle and rock pools at low tide. Your gift could help to protect this valuable landscape.
Seven Sisters is also a popular destination to hold outdoor learning events for young people. With the newly refurbished camping barn this offer has been extended to also allow nights out under our magnificent dark skies. Your gift could enable more of these visits to take place.
The ever-popular South Downs Way National Trail runs right through Seven Sisters Country Park and over the magnificent chalk cliffs towards Eastbourne. This spectacular section of the long-distance trail also links up to other footpaths and bridleways, as well as the easy-access trail tot he beach. Your gift could help to maintain these trails allowing more people to discover the stunning mosaic of habitats at Seven Sisters.
These habitats support an astonishing number of important species, such as the Adonis blue butterfly and the delicate blue round-headed rampion (also known as the Pride of Sussex) found on the chalk grassland. Your gift could help protect these and other iconic species.
The South Downs National Park is a living landscape. It is the work of farmers, communities and voluntary organisations that make the National Park a special place. We support these people to make a difference to the National Park and to Seven Sisters Country Park by coordinating, partnering and funding their work. Your gift could help to manage this landscape.
